Kobiton allows users to monitor the temperature of Android devices, which is beneficial for those concerned about the performance impacts of an app running on a device as well as for those hosting devices.
Users can view device temperature while in a Manual session and in Session Explorer.
Manual session
From the Device list, select the Android button to filter Android devices.
Launch an Android device.
After the device successfully launched, select the Metrics tab and scroll down. The Temperature section is under the Battery Drain section.
Click the arrow to expand into a graph view.

Session Explorer
After completing a test session, navigate to the Session Overview screen and select Explorer.
Select Temperature from the drop-down list.

Available temperature information
The temperature metrics are captured by sensors in 4 different parts of the phone:
- CPU
- GPU
- Battery
- Skin
For each item above, the following 4 types of temperature values display in degree Celsius (°C):
- Current: current temperature
- Average: average temperature since data began recording
- Min: minimum temperate since data began recording
- Max: maximum temperate since data began recording
Limitations
- Only available for Android devices.
- Some Android devices cannot show all 4 types of temperature metrics. Example: Galaxy S21 5G only shows CPU, Battery, and Skin.
- Some Android devices cannot show any metrics. Example: OnePlus GM1903.
